Evidence-Based Programs
Cardiac Disease Prevention & Rehabilitation
Since 1982, the Bangor Region YMCA has provided Phase III Cardiac Rehab for participants who have been affected by a cardiac event, or have been diagnosed with peripheral arterial disease (PAD), to improve strength, cardio-respiratory endurance, flexibility, and overall movement while engaging with others who have had similar experiences. Over the years, we have expanded our programs to help individuals focus on prevention and maintenance, as well as helping those diagnosed with POTS.
Learn MoreArthritis/Bone Health

Programs include both land and water fitness classes customized to help people living with arthritis, fibromyalgia or other neuro-muscular complications in a variety of exercises. These classes are designed to improve balance and fall prevention.
