Will is thrilled to join Camp Jordan for his first summer in 2025. Hailing from Eddington, Maine, Will grew up with a deep love for the outdoors, spending his childhood hunting, hiking, and exploring the woods around his hometown. His camp journey began at a young age, and his experiences as a camper shaped his passion for creating meaningful experiences for others.
With six years of experience in professional camping, Will spent the last two years as Program Coordinator at YMCA Camp Winona in Florida, where he focused on creating unforgettable moments of camp magic for both campers and staff. He’s excited to bring his energy, creativity, and dedication to Camp Jordan while honoring its time-honored traditions.
An Eagle Scout, certified EMT, and Certified Lifeguard Instructor, Will’s commitment to outdoor adventure, camping, and backpacking runs deep. Outside of camp, he enjoys building and playing guitars.
Will believes in the power of leadership through respect. He holds firm to the idea that “Those who are best suited to power are those who have never sought it. Those who have leadership thrust upon them and find to their own surprise that they wear it well.” Will’s leadership style is rooted in this principle, as he strives to lead by example, fostering a community built on respect, kindness, and collaboration. He’s deeply grateful for the mentors who have shaped his journey, including his Scout Masters and camp directors, who have taught him the value of service and selfless leadership.
As Will looks ahead to the summer, he’s eager to create an unforgettable experience for both campers and staff, blending his own experiences with Camp Jordan’s legacy to ensure the best summer every year.
