Hana (she/they) is a Member Experience Associate on the Membership Team at the Bangor Region Y, where she serves as a vital link between members and the Leadership Team. With nearly seven years of experience across departments, including Membership, Aquatics, and Child Development, Hana brings a deep understanding of community needs and a personal mission to make everyone feel welcome and safe.
Known for her empathetic communication style and commitment to service, Hana embodies the Y’s core value of Responsibility. She sees her role not just as a job, but as a way to actively shape the community experience, one meaningful interaction at a time.
Inspired daily by the families she serves; Hana believes in the power of kindness and connection. Her grandmother’s wisdom, “Every houseplant, no matter how complicated, deserves to be loved”, guides her approach to both people and life.
Outside of work, Hana is a self-proclaimed aquarium enthusiast with a goal of visiting all 150 major aquariums in the U.S. (she’s already checked off four!). When she’s not on an aquatic adventure, you can find her crocheting cozy wearables or rewatching Bones with a mug of tea in her hand.
