At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

Apply for our Open Door program to find out if you qualify to receive additional financial assistance for you and/or your family for a membership or selected program beyond the Membership For All rate. The Open Door program follows a sliding fee scale, designed to fit each individual’s financial situation. In order to foster a sense of ownership in the Y, you will be asked to pay a portion of the fees.

See if you qualify by following these 3 Easy Steps:

  1. Download the Open Door Program Application.
  2. Complete the Open Door Program Application.
  3. Submit your application to The Bangor Region YMCA, including your story and the requested documentations.

Your application will be reviewed by our committee and will determine your financial assistance eligibility after thoroughly reviewing your completed application. (Your application will not be processed until all required documents are provided).

Please allow two (2) weeks for our committee to review your application. If your application has been approved, or if you need to submit additional information, a Member Experience Associate will notify you. Please make sure all of your contact info is correct before you submit your application.
