Bangor Y Toddler & Preschool ProgramsThe philosophy of our preschool programs is children learn by doing! Children spend a part of the day in group activities and part of their day involved in self-directed learning centers. Learning Centers may include Art, Science, Math, Dramatic Play, Reading, Writing and Blocks. Language learning is a key element in the classroom and takes place through the use of songs, stories, fingerplays, and poems. Field Trips and special events also complement the curriculum. A typical day for a preschooler may include circle time, group activities, learning centers, lunch, quiet/rest time, swim and outside play.
 Discovery Friends Childcare Center
Ages 1 1/2 - 5 years ( Pre-K)
Our full day childcare center. Hot lunch is available! We may also be able to provide back-up care when your provider is ill or on vacation. Limited availability. 6:30am - 6pm, full- or part-time. Lunch is included. For information, call Lori Hayden 941-2808.
